This is a shape generation program for evolving shapes into one another.
The mathematical details of the approach are outlined in the doc/report.pdf.

The ui/ uses Qt 4.7, and libxml2.

Meldshape also relies on open source software, gpc, for polygon manipulation.
The software also relies on some of my other internal utility libraries:
nmisc (utilities), nimage (image utilities), nmath, nlevset (the levelset implementation).

Sources for these can be found on www.neilbirkbeck.com/source. These packages all use
autoconf, but the development focus has really been on linux/unix so it may take some
work to get them running on windows/mac.

There are two binaries in this package:
1) meldshape
2) ui/meldshape

The first application is just a basic GL application with keyboard control over the
evolation of the shapes (see source for commands), while the second is the Qt UI
application.

For 1) just do "make". For 2) you will need to install qt and run "qmake ." followed by
make in the ui/ directory.

Both programs can be passed either a list of binary images that are the initial shapes
or an svg file containing the starting shapes. After building you can test with
one of the example input images in the doc/images directory.

For example:
./meldshape doc/images/squares_initial.svg

If you are running 1) press ' ' to start the evolution.
